Slewing to M108, I found an uninvited guest in my image, M97, the Owl Nebula. This happens with wide field images and is a pleasant surprise.

C8/Hyperstar, ASI533MC Pro, UV/IR filter, 70 images at 120 seconds each for 2 hours and 20 minutes total. Processed in DSS, Siril and Affinity Photo.

I went back with my 8 EdgeHD, .7 reducer, ASI533MC Pro and l'extreme filter and got an hour of the Owl, M97 with three minute exposures.

It's an interesting planetary nebula and will keep adding time to it.

It’s a great little object, can’t wait to see what comes out with more time on it!
