Most of the images were taken with my T2i and 75-300mm lens sitting on my AZ-GTi. I had to use a few photos from my T5i + AT60ED setup to fill in gaps early on due to a mistake on my part.

The images were centered twice using IMPPG, worked pretty well but no where close to perfect when the sun became a thin crescent and totality was all over the place. I fine-tuned the alignment in Adobe After Effects. Still has some shake but much better than it was before.

I plan to redo this with images from my T5i + AT60. The reason I used my T2i setup for the timelapse is because at a glance, the images looked much more stable so I thought I'd have to do less work...

I also have my HDR processing workflow here, using the Pellett Method. I'm trying a few more things to try and automate some of the steps: https://www.youtube....?v=iwCxuDQ2Los

Here's the image, I also have it posted in the larger eclipse photo thread.

Those are excellent pictures. I also have a T5i and used my kit 75-300 lens. I managed about 34 pictures from For worth TX, in-between some high clouds

I just got home 2 days ago so didn't have time yet to process my pics

Thank you! Best of luck processing your images!

I'm still going through mine slowly. Just finished up this collage a couple days ago.

I'm still going through mine slowly. Just finished up this collage a couple days ago.

Nice collage! I am in the process of planning my own and have watched many, including your, YouTube videos and am learning a lot! My general plan is just like yours, a large central totality picture surrounded by a clock like circle, although I am planning less partials in exchange for an Earthshine HDR plus a few during totality including a diamond ring and Baily’s Beads.

Couple of questions to pick your brain if I may? I am using the last non-subscription version of Lightroom, Photoshop Elements, and Affinity Photo 2 and am still learning the process…

Did you create a round layout grid, use blocks somehow to create a circle, or just eyeball it?

How does one make sure each individual image in the collage has the same blackness in their backgrounds so it’s all uniformly black around and behind the images afterward?

I will be using nice sharp Maine clear skies 400mm equivalent RAW or JPEGS (I have both) out of my camera with a couple of tiff composites, one of Earthshine and another an HDR of totality, is there a way to make the composites’ brightness similar to the others out of camera images apart from trial and error?

I am partial to the realism of a white sun in the partials while I alike the look of the orange or yellow sun aesthetically. I know it’s subjective on my part, but what drew you to the orange sun? Still trying to decide as I am planning on printing it on metal I want to get it all right the first time.

Thank you! Your plan sounds like you'll get a really nice output!

For the circle, I use a circle and polygon tool to create a template for myself. It lets me space out the images evenly. I show my entire process on the collage in this video: https://www.youtube....h?v=C7k-1CcuFeQ - The circular shape starts around the 6 minute mark.

You may enjoy the rest of the video too. I show how I cut out the partial phases and also mask the diamond ring images to blend everything together. The basic goal is to select one photo to act as the background, for me it was my totality image in the middle.

As for brightness, you may have to play with each image and edit the camera raw settings. All of my partial phases were shot at ISO-200 and this particular bunch was shot at 1/1000s each so they all came out the same color and brightness. I didn't have to edit that in post-processing. In Camera Raw, you can also play with the exposure settings and eyeball the brightness.

The filter I used (Thousand Oaks Optical) shows the sun as yellow/orange and I've been using it for 12 years now. It's definitely subjective. I used to use a Baader film before that and the sun appeared white. I don't think I have a strong preference of one or the other, I've just been doing yellow for so long.

Printing on metal sounds cool! I got the above picture printed on Canvas. I have one that appears behind me in my youtube videos from 2017. I picked Canvas because there's no reflection but I may do another version with an HDR shot of the sun on Acrylic or Metal, not sure yet.

Also keeping my own thread updated, I recorded the eclipse with a 360 Camera. It's also 4k resolution so if anyone wants to 'experience' totality: https://www.youtube....h?v=CwuFJ0HKpHI

Using your various guides as well others' here is my almost finished collage. I may tweak some of the levels and brightnesses a bit but I am really happy with it and might just leave those adjustments alone. I might tweak the color temperature of the partials more towards yellow though. I do want to put some text into it with the date and location where I was and after that it will be completed.

I struggled with which picture to use in the center vs the 6 o'clock postions. I really like Earthshine pictures and wanted to include one and feel that the central HDR picture is an appropriate centerpiece. An Earthshine picture may have looked out of place and strange at the 6 o'clock postion although a centerpiece of HDR black-moon totality would also have been nice.

All pictures were taken with an Olympus / OM Systems OM1 with a 75-300mm lens set at 200mm for a 400mm equivalent. Partials were taken through a Baader Astro Solar filter. I used Affinity Photo 2 to put it all together.
