Wondered if anyone could let me know if this is normal for a Hotech SCA?

I accidentally purchased the stand alone 1.25" so packaged it up unopened ready to return. I had to but a separate 2".

I received the 2" and the crosshair looks like this.

I know it's on the back of the box but the laser shows the same whatever surface I shine it on and the angle doesn't make any difference.so the image does show a true likeness.

The issues seem to be the cross is asymmetrical and at the 2 o-clock area there's 2 extra bits - a blob near the centre (doesn't show too well in the photo) and an extra line at a similar distance to the edge of the cross hair ends.

There's nothing interfering or anything visially broken.

The supplier suggested opening the 1.25" one I have and that shows an identical laser pattern

It's not a complaint against the supplier as they have bee rrsponsive to my query. I appreciate the main part of the use is the centre spot but the pattern just seems "wrong". It may well be perfectly functional but I don't want to keep if it is defective.

So, the question, is this laser pattern normal for a Hotech SCA??

thanks

Paul
