Last night a window in the cloudy weather opened up, allowing an opportunity to image the moon. The site chosen was the crater Copernicus and its surroundings. An 8-inch Celestron EdgeHD SCT, 2X TeleVue Barlow lens and a ZWO 290MC camera were used to acquire the AVI file this image was stacked from. From the 5,000 frames contained in the AVI file, 1,000 were stacked to yield the image shown here using Autostakkert. Sharpening and post processing were carried out with the Registax wavelets then Photoshop.
