I recently acquired a Powerguide AC-DC drive corrector that will go nicely with my '78 duplex. Checking it out prior to connecting it to the Q, I realized that it consistently blows one of the 2 amp fuses when the frequency knob is turned close to and fully counterclockwise. Rotating it towards clockwise it does not. I also measured the unloaded AC voltage and it's around 156 VAC across the full range of knob movement, obviously too high. Interesting that is near peak AC (i.e., 1.414 x 115) as opposed to the expected ~110 VAC RMS. My question to you guys is have any of you seen similar symptoms. Also, is anyone aware of a schematic for these old units.
