During a recent move, I lost the 3 primary mirror clips of my Orion XT8 Intelliscope.

I contacted Orion, but they can't sell the clips unless I find the original receipt, which I don't have anymore, as I bought this telecope more than 12 years ago from an authorized Orion representative in Brazil (this company no longer exists).

Would really appreciate if anyone has any idea for replacements..... maybe some other common part that could do the same job?

Thanks!

If you can't find them at ScopeStuff then I recommend an email to customer service borg.gif

Make them out of thin plywood.

...

I've got wood and tools. Someone else likely has something better. Expired credit card?

Let me know if you don't find a different solution.

Glued cardstock sandwich.

Yea, the clips should be easy to make. Find a firm plastic lid or something similar. Black if possible.

To be clear, you are just talking about the retaining clips and not the entire edge support assembly?

Excuse the digression but why the need to remove the clips during a move?
