Hey all, this is for anyone interested in tracking their exposure times and willing to test or use this work sheet approach.

The idea is to copy the file path names for each night with a given target and paste into a tab of the worksheet.

The work sheet parses the path and file name data to get info like  filter names and exposure times.

Then it produces a table like image below with a summary of the times and frames for each filter.

file total Screenshot 2024 05 09 114814

You can also use the summaries to make folder names to track your exposures.

Examples:

Between 04-23 & 2024-05-07;  1.8 hrs L, 1.5 hrs R, 1.5 hrs G, 1.3 hrs B, Total = 6.8 hours.

As of 2024-05-07,  total = 6.8 hours exposure   69 Total Frames.

Here is a link to the worksheet file loaded with a few nights of my Herculese Galaxy Cluster imaging as an example.

To use this worksheet you need a little excell experience to block, copy and paste data.  It will help if you understand the idea of concatenation but the parsing of data is pretty easy.  Look first at the information tab to get directions.

I also have a package available for creating a horizon line useful in Stellarium and NINA

Note, I have no commercial interest just a service for all if useful and I appreciate feedback for improvements.

enjoy!
