Operational questions: How do you get the stacking to "catchup" to the image capture?

Use cases:

  1. I set it the imagine capture to 500.  When it has captured 500 images but it has only stacked, say 300~ish of them.  To get all the images stacked, do I just not "long press" the red button until all 500 captured images are stacked?
  2. I set the image capture at 999 (default).  When it gets to 999, stacking is only at maybe 700.  Again so I just "not long press" until all images are stacked?
  3. Finally use case; I set image capture at 999 (default).  At about 600 or so, I decide I want to stop, but stacking is only at 500.  If I wait for stacking to "catch up" to 600, it has captured many dozen more images ... and I'm still behind.

I'm not an expert as I've only been using it for a short while.  But I think the big difference between the number of images taken and number stacked is that the Dwarf algorithms reject some images (eg if there is trailing).  So you're extremely unlikely to ever get to 100% stack rate.

The "failed" images are still stored.  What I've noticed is that if you blink them in Pixinsight many of them are often still usable (well within the range of what BlurX can handle).

Long-pressing the red just aborts the session early (stopping image capture & stacking afaik).

Last one from recent travels to darker skies.  Wild Duck and its neighbouring star fields in Scutum.

Hi! Been a while since I was here.

I have one question.

If I put the telescope in STA mode, will I be able to connect if I'm not home?
