Hi everyone,

I have two issues that popup in most of my pictures. First is the horizontal diffraction spikes you see below in the final edited picture of M51 in the bright stars.

Second is the Red to Green gradient that you see in the below raw stacked picture of Leos Triplet and this shows up in all my pictures and even after automatic or dynamic background extraction I end up having to crop out at least a little bit of it on every picture.

Imaging Equipment is: ZWO ASI 2600MC Pro, WO Redcat 61 WIFD, Optolong UV/IR cut. Cheap Amazon dew heater

Other Equipment: ZWO AM5, ASIAIR, ZWO EAF, ZWO 120mm guide scope and camera

Diffraction is caused by something in the light path. Assuming the optical path is clear of obstructions, was the image taken through a power line or similar?

I don't believe so, It was pretty straight over head of me. I guess I need to check and make sure everything is spotless again but I did just check before those images were taken.
