Not much change since yesterday's post, but there were some big proms out today (animation in separate thread).  Gonna rain all week so thought I would spend time

with the sun this afternoon.  Much needed Vitamin D conversion.

Session started with high passing clouds.  I was patient (stomping foot entire time) and just spent a while observing the sun in WL (digitally)

Once the clouds thinned out, seeing was pretty good 3-4/5.

Last few sessions in WL I was annoyed that with the addition of the continuum filter, my FPS went in the toilet.   I figured maybe I have

to remove my ND filter.  But low and behold...my unit has a rotatable polarizer ... but of course it does.

Problem solved.

I also tinkered a bit with doing guidescope full disc setup.  Last time I tried I was way off band.  This time close, but still not perfect.  Not sure

the quark guidescope combo for me will ever be right.  I was at -5 (CCW) on the dial and couldn't go any lower, but felt that I could use two more clicks in that

direction.

WL:  Celestron omni 120xlt, altair astro wedge, baader continuum, zwo 462, apertura 2.5x barlow

CaK;  Omni, Lunt CaK wedge, zwo 462

Ha:  Omni, quark chromosphere, player one erf, zwo 432;   also full disc with agena 60 guidescope stopped to f10

Sharpcap, autostakkert, imppg, pixinsight

Thanks Warren, Gary, Marty!  The WL images are my favorite.  Thanks Marty for the recs on how to help the scope perform to expected levels.  That continuum filter makes a huge difference.

Now that I have the polarizer set correctly my fps is back to a decent range.
