I imaged NGC 5985 on two consecutive nights and a streak appears through the left-hand side of the galaxy on both nights. I have included a heavily stretched and cropped image. The streak appears with and without proper calibration files. The streak does not appear when image a different portion of the sky. Satellites? Help appreciated.NGC 5985.jpg

My first thought was some calibration frame issue, or pixel rejection issue, but since you have the problem on uncalibrated lights as well i think it's not that. Do these streaks appear on all your light frames or only on some? Are they all on the same position or does it change throughout the night?

What software are you using for stacking? Do you dither?

What camera?
