So, I'm looking to get the materials to put together a 8'x10'x6'H skybox similar to what I've seen in other threads on here. I was wondering, has anyone tested the difference between using tarps for the walls vs 90% shade cloth? I've read in some threads that people are concerned about the turbulence that full tarps cause. Do shade clothes reduce the turbulence? Or is this something that even needs to be considered? I'm not planning to image in 45 mph winds, but I do want something to control the 20 mph gusts that I see regularly in northern New Mexico.

Did you ever look into this further?

Great question (imo).
