Destin Sandlin from the YouTube channel Smarter Every Day planned to come with me and my group to the 2024 total solar eclipse. I know that Destin still likes to play around with film cameras. So, during the planning for the eclipse, I mentioned to him the old technique of doing an eclipse sequence on a single section of filmed. He was really intrigued and wanted to do it! So, I helped him set it up and we pulled it off. I discuss the historical perspective of this technique in my book, and I do my digital sequences the same way. Destin is a professional YouTuber, so it's great to have him tell the story of my eclipse day and capturing this amazing shot. Much better than I could have done.
