Just getting ready to try my new ASI533 MC Pro on C9.25/Hyperstar/Celestron Alu Dew shield. Took 20 x auto flats with ASI Air+ with led panel & 5 sheets of white paper. Histogram bump right in the middle but Master Flat looks odd - could it be the red USB3 & power cords affecting things? Doesn’t show too well in attached thumbnail but red tinge is bottom left. I taped both cords together quite tightly.

 

I have an Optolong light pollution filter on the cam

This may be the red LED on the 533 backplate. Could you try and put some tape on it and see if the red tinge is still there?

Well, you can check if cable route follows orientation of camera's chip. Then you'll know.

 

But also, did you taped camera's red signal lamp with black tape? If you didn't, you should.

Yup, I had to tape the red LED on my 533MC for use with my C6 Hyperstar due to this very problem.

And thanks for the reminder I am not into HyperStar season yet - still have to finish my galaxies - but soon and I always forget to tape that red guy up with the HyperStar!
