Hello everyone.

I'm relatively new to the hobby and looking to spend a bit more time on observing.

Since I spend about half the year in S. Korea, I was wondering if there are any English-speaking clubs around for meetups or info on observing sites outside of Seoul's light dome.

I would appreciate any and all pointers =)

Thank you!

Try contacting Injoon Hwang from HOBYM Observatory: pacifican@naver.com

He speaks English and can give you advice. His observatory is located at: Choongcheongnamdo which is about 2hr south of Seoul. Website: https://www.hobym.net/

BTW, from your user id, did you used to live in Japan?

Thank you, hyiger, I appreciate your response.

I might shoot Mr. Hwang an email!

Well, I commute back and forth between Japan and Korea a lot!

I have to say I prefer the skies in Japan. It's rather easy to escape the city glow and find some reasonably dark spots for observing.

In Korea - especially in Seoul - it's quite an ordeal to do the same =)

Best,
