Hi all,

I have setup my telescope in a remote observatory. The observatory is in different time zone (UTC-5) than where I live (UTC-7). I am using ASI Air Plus remotely.

My telescope setup is:

1. ZWO ASI Air Plus

2. AM5

3. ASI2600MM Pro

4. Askar 120APO

5. EAF, FW, etc…

ASI Air tries to get my phones GPS coordinates which I can’t use because the telescope is in different location. To get around this problem, I disabled location service for ASI Air app. In the app, I manually set the GPS coordinates of the observatory. In mount information, I can confirm the GPS coordinates are set to observatory but the time zone is set for UTC-8 and corresponding time which is weird. I can’t seem to change the time zone of the mount.

Now, I am trying to set a plan mode in ASI Air app. In the planning section, I want to set custom start and end time for the plan. This is where I am not sure which time I should use. Whether to use mount time zone (UTC-8), my time zone (UTC-7) or observatory time zone (UTC-5).

E.g. my time is 8pm, observatory time is 10pm.

When I start the plan with start time as 10:15pm, it starts with waiting period of 2+ hrs. Same thing happens when I set start time as 8:15pm. Which is super weird.

Can someone help me understand what time zone “Plan Mode” uses?
