Good morning everyone!

First time posting so if this topic is in the wrong sub-forum please reroute me :)

I am looking into upgrading my current setup to a more mobile one and add I would like to go in "closer" to nebulae and galaxies which are my primary and only targets, no observing or planetary planned.
My current setup:

  • HEQ5 Pro mount
  • ASI120mm guide cam
  • TS Optics 50mm guidescope
  • ASIAir Pro
  • ASI294MM
  • ZWO Filterwheel
  • TS Optics 102mm/714mm f/7 refractor + 0.8 reducer/flattener

Since I recently got the 294MM and I really like the ASIAir those two I would like to keep for a longer period. Because of that I was investigating and I found the following setup suiting my needs (and my max budget):

  • WarpAstro WD-20 Harmonic mount
  • Askar 130 PHQ
  • TS Optics Tri-pier tripod Height 950 mm 8 kg

Also, instead of the guidescope I would switch to a OAG (got one from ZWO).
From what I read the WD-20 should be able to carry the Askar and the imaging train without issues and I like the tripod pier solution since I am not a fan of the small tripods and extensions.

My biggest confusion comes from  the FOV calculator (see attached picture). fov_confusion.JPG

Since I plan to shoot in Bin2 mode do I need to also switch the "Binning" option in the calculator to 2X2 or it is not needed?

To try and summarize everything in one question: Will the Askar130 be fine for my camera or will it mess up my resolution on Bin2 completely? I don't plan to use a reducer.

I hope I was clear enough, if anything is unclear please let me know.

Thank you all in advance and clear skies! :)

No, it's calculating right without using the binning.

Awesome, thanks for checking.
Then I believe everything should be fine :)
