Here is a close-up crop of my Whirlpool Galaxy, M51, which is in the constellations of Canes Venatici and is ~31 million light years from earth.  The bright object in the left tail is NGC5195, which is another galaxy that is merging.

This was shot from my suburban, Louisville, KY backyard using my big SV152 (TMB-LZOS lens) and QHY268M with Astronomik DeepSky RGB + 6nm Ha/Oiii. The Oiii was blended with both Blue and Green, while the Ha was blended with Red.

R         480sec x 61
G         480sec x 63
B         480sec x 73
Ha       480sec x 207
Oiii      480sec x 73
