(Asahi) That can happen on Holiday Weekends. I bookmarked it but didn't realize it was ending so soon. Probably for the best.

Nice, someone stole it.

Someone bid on it instead of just talking about it. It was refreshing to see a low cost make it thru on the Bay.

Walmart has some peachy tool bag deals at the moment - 11" thru 19" - good for scope acc & oculars, even some stubby scopes.

A couple of years ago I sniped an 8 inch 1/10 wave Edmund aluminized flat for, wait for it, $256 on ebay.  They're usually in the $1000s for the "buy it now" crowd.  I don't do the 5 minute auctions.  Figure out what the maximum you'll pay, and submit it with 8 seconds to go.  Works most of the time.  Unless someone's max bid is larger than yours.

My first thought! Yes indeed. RIP Thomas Back, the telescope world lost a lot when he passed far far too soon.

That's Stewart, he lives in the mountains west of Pueblo. apfever knows him, we've spoken about him on occasion. Besides the amazing inventory you see here, his house is full of other amazing treasures and oddities, including a full size stuffed bear and many other taxidermy pieces.

But Tscopes aren't all this guy collects, he has a good eye and amble storage space.  I stumbled on another of his FB's ads a while back and it had a lot of other, eclectic stuff.  I inquired about a scope and a frame with a bunch of arrow heads.  I showed the pic to a buddy who would be the paleo expert equivalent of a few of the Tscope folks here.  He said that one of the points could be worth 20k if real, not to mention what else was potentially in the frame!

Some of his ads have been posted and seeing how he's collected all that stuff kind of makes me ask, why?
