I have a HEQ5 mount currently serving my Quattro 150p. Thinking about adding a bigger brother, 10" sounds like a sound size jump. Any chance the HEQ5 could carry it in full A load?

The HEQ5 is rated around 30 pounds.  Are you doing visual or astrophotography?  For astrophotography I would say No because of the weight and length of the 250P.  Visual is should be OK.

I'd go for photography, yes. Length-wise the f4 version is not too bad, weight is indeed a stretch...

Ed Ting has a review of the Orion variant on his YT channel. He used a  Celestron CGE, which I think has a payload of 60lbs. I'm not exactly saying that's what you need, but it's a good reference point.
