I loaned my Evo to a friend and now that I have it back I've noticed a very slight rocking from the top of the mount when it's attached to the tripod. This is with the mount screwed into the tripod but without the OTA, with the OTA attached the weight of it seems to prevent the rocking so I'm not even sure if  it's an issue or not. The bottom plate that the tripod screws go into stays stationary, the arm moves in relation to that. It's pretty slight, the top of the mount moves maybe 1-1.5mm, it's not much but I don't remember it from before. Haven't been able to catch someone with an Evo at a star party to compare so I'm hoping someone could check theirs and see if that's normal or not and if it's not normal I'd like to know if there's a fix.

I'm planning on cleaning it up and selling it but need to understand if it's going to need some work or not before I do.

The metal castings on the top of the tripod and the underside of the mount do not always sit perfectly flat on the Evos I have used.  There are three possible positions for attaching the two, so just undo the screws and rotate 120-degrees to the next possible point and see if it sits flat without rocking there.
