A like new Nagler zoom. For the third time. Maybe this time I’ll remember to just not sell it…

Eyepiece!

You should definitely put it in a 60mm telescope grin.gif

Just don’t put it in an 80mm ("Don’t Cross the Streams!")

The first time I ever used a Tele Vue Pronto, the fellow had a 31mm Nagler in the diagonal and as I walked up to the scope I was like "Uhhhh... which end do I look into?!" lol.gif (One of these 80mm eyepieces would have confused me even more!)

There is an 85mm RO Plossl as well. I would buy one if I saw one for sale.

A 6mm Delos two days ago, and a 4mm Tak TOE three hours ago.  I think I can finally unlax and call myself astronomically fulfilled.  It has been a really tough three years for the missus and me health-wise, and although she isn't out of the woods, she seems to be hanging in there, and my own problem has been put to rest.  She has been my energy sink for about 18 months now, and I'm beginning to feel that I can begin to enjoy other pursuits. So, over the past three weeks I have gone through a wad of cash and finished what I had been thinking of getting to complete the kit-out.

Inkie, glad to hear you’re doing well, and hope that your wife sees some improvement. It’s good you were able to de-stress a little with some new gear therapy. Those are both outstanding eyepieces.

Just got one of those too, and agree re: impressive. I have yet to get it to a truly dark location on a good night - that'll come in April down in Torrey.

TV 11mm smoothie for me. The EP is currently MIA. We recently remodeled our home and while boxing up the location I stored my EPs my wife put all EPs I don’t have in my observing Pelican case in a storage bin (I was away out of town working). The original box is in it but no EP! I spent several hours several times over the past month looking for it! Anyway she feels bad I can’t find it. Should I tell her it was an Apollo 11 and needs replaced ASAP? Lol….JK

I really liked that EP and I am actively searching for another and a A11!

A Sky Rover Super Zoom as a birthday present to me, last year. It's barely left the diagonal since. Love it

I don't know if it counts for an eyepiece , but I just received my Explore Scientific focal extender 2X.

It looks like a fine piece , well build and rock solid.

Tomorrow , Aliexpress will deliver coupons with rebates for march , so I'm going to order a Sky Rover 10 mm 82°

5.5 Astro Tech PF, and it arrived yesterday. Planning for first light tonight with my AD8. Bought it to get some nice views of the planets and the moon. Have been happy with the AT UWAs I have purchased from Astronomics so I have no doubt this will be another good one.

A 6 mm Ethos from CN Classifieds yesterday.
My first Ethos, first brief looks last night were impressive.

The more you use it, they less you will like it and finally you will be so disgusted you will take it out of the focuser and toss it as far as you can.

Rather than destroying a perfectly good eyepiece, send it to me and I will carefully recycle the materials for you.  wink.gif

That said, the 6mm Ethos is the one eyepiece I would really like to have.  I like the 8mm-6mm-4.7 mm splits.. In my big scope, 352x, 470x and 600x.  Right now I have the 8mm at 352, the 7mm at 402x, and the 4.7 at 600x, that's poor spacing., The 5.5 mm ES 100 degree would be a reasonable fit.. 402x-512x-600x.

Jon

My latest purchase was an 11mm T6 Nagler. I needed another for my binotron.  With the powerswitch, I should have a killer planetary and moon observation kit.

My most recent purchases, both last week from All Star Telescope: 31mm Tele Vue Nagler and 40mm Pentax XW. Fills out the low power range between my 21mm Ethos and 48mm Brandon. Now my eyepiece range is truly complete. My new eyepieces shipped separately but I should get both by Wednesday. First light will have to wait until I am done my next work rotation in two weeks.

(Used) Meade Series 5000 SWA 16mm.  Long been wanting to replace the 17mm Plossl that came with the scope, and I'm hoping it'll compliment my 24mm SWA (which I love).

Way back when... The Meade Series 5000 SWAs were flying under the radar and Meade apparently decided to put them on sale for about half price and discontinue them.  Suddenly, everyone was talking about them and buying them up.  I think I bought the 24mm new for $50, the 16mm used but like new for $50..

I disliked the bulbous twist up eye cups and eventually "decloaked" them both. From that day on, they got a lot of use.  I found them to be quite sharp, even in a fast scope.  Just very good eyepieces, very similar expect that the 16 mm has less eye relief.

A few years ago, I loaned out the pair plus 9mm, 6mm and 4 mm TMB Planetary's and a 2x Barlow.  When they were returned, the 16 mm SWA was missing.  I was bummed and eventually gave the 24 mm to someone needing a good eyepiece.

You will like the 16mm.

A minimalist set, three eyepieces in my coat pocket for my 16 inch Dob:  The 24mm and 16mm Meade Series 5000 SWAs and the 9mm Nagler Type 6. That is the only minimalist set ever for me.

That was exactly how I got my 24mm.  Love that lens.  Excited to try the 16mm, it arrives today.  Naturally, it's raining today (hence, I'm at this aptly-named site...)
