Just purchased a TeleVue 5mm Nagler Type 6!

THANK YOU @Oldfracguy!

I decided to slim down my already minimal eyepiece stable from 4 to 3 eyepieces, so I sold off my 7mm Nagler (original) and my 4.8mm Nagler "smoothie" and replaced them with the 5mm Nagler Type 6.

The 5mm Nagler Type 6 joins my 11mm Nagler Type 6 and my 24mm Panoptic for a 100% parfocal, field-ready high (94x), medium (44x), and low (20x) grab-and-go anywhere set-up with my TeleVue Ranger.

Love these small Naglers T6 of latest production a LOT.

I have them in pairs, and I wish TV continued production of 2.5mm and 11mm....

Just browsed a thread here on stuff we use that's USA made. It was pointed out that the starting post failed to include Edmund Optics, which caught my attention. There are many posts here on CN that reference the RKE series, most of them favorable. Well, I visited the Edmund website and, on a whim ordered a 28mm RKE. I'll be looking forward to it's arrival and checking its performance.

I like them too, still no chance against the TPLs on M13 yesterday.

My eyepiece case foam has seen better days. I still have space for the 9 and an 18 mm and I’m back to where I was before I sold off all my 1.25” eyepieces.

Just got a Televue Nagler 9mm T1 from the classifieds here. It's one of the later T1's from Taiwan

with the improved coatings, rubber eye cup and gripped barrel.

The tariff situation pulled me of the shelf. I really liked the Delight I had purchased and wanted to get my eyepiece case back to full since I had sold off a bunch of eyepieces, so I placed an order for a 9MM and an 18.2 MM Delite. I'm delited I was able to get them at the current price. I even ordered a few replacement caps for my older eyepieces from Televue as my caps had seen better days.

Both are shipped (had to get from 2 different vendors) as they were sold out in a lot of places.

Next week, I'll order a new Eyepiece case as mine has seen better days also. Its time to upgrade a few things while I can still afford them.

To continue the Televue Radian set, I just bought the 18/12/6 (should arrive next week). They will join the 14/10/8/4. The set will be a mixed of first (18/10) and second (14/12/8/6/4) generation. Let see when a 5 will show up. Will remain the 3, but too much for my equipment.

This ES82° 24mm just arrived, which for me finishes off my ES82 set (I’m not gonna get the 30mm) \/

IMG_2335.jpeg

I’d actually thought I already was finished, but the 24mm was always kind of still hanging out there as a possibility. Then, after I got my ES68° 24mm and it became perhaps my favorite eyepiece, the ES82° 18mm fell out of my rotation, opening up a slot for this 82° 24mm. Looming tariffs pushed me over the edge. Kinda wish it were about 21mm (+/- 1mm), but anyway, we’ll so how it goes. Looking forward to first lighting it very soon cool.gif
