I had to returm my ASI6200MM pro to ZWO for service. The camera was troubled with intermittent downloads & disconnects.

Since this is an expensive camera I ensured it was insured going out for the full cost- this cost nearly $90.00 for insurance & freight.

I shipped the camera by secure freight to ZWO against their authorised RMA number and they changed some unspecified parts on the daughterboard. The final bill only came to just $80.00 and the entire repair from shipping to return took just over a month.

I was expecting to have to pay for a new daughterboard at an anticipated cost of $350.00 including labor and return freight.

This was a very good service from ZWO & I'm happy to call this out to them considering the logistics involved.

Well done ZWO & keep up the good work. I'm testing the camera now & the issue, so far, is resolved.

I've heard other stories from ZWO service, so this was refreshing.
Maybe the more expensive products get better service - no that can't be so.

I had an identical experience with my three year old 6200mm! 2*80 Euro for shipping, replacement of something 80Euro and one month waiting,

Glad to see positive reports being actually reported.

I am surprised they had you ship it to China though; don't they have US-based support now? Or are you not in the US?

I'm in England- so shipping to the USA or China would probably have taken just as long. The paperwork for the USA might even have been more protracted because of the somewhat tougher import rules imposed.

That makes perfect sense; thanks for answering.

USA is much slower. Shipping to/from China is quick, in some cases faster than shipping across Australia.
