Busy day yesterday morning looking and imaging the sun. Lots of prominences, filaments, sunspots and an X-class flare to boot. Will probably take a few posts to upload some of the images I got.

 

First, the first glimpse of the X-class flare at the top of the image. I still hadn't realized something was afoot and was just scanning around and imaging whatever caught my eyes. This was one of the first images of the day
