I recently upgraded to a cooled camera and I'd like to run a series of tests to measure noise levels at different temperatures and gain settings. I see there is a noise evaluation script in Pixinsight - is that a good way to objectively compare noise levels across different frames (assuming the conditions and target are the same)? Is there another script or process that is better for this purpose? Please redirect me if this has already been covered elsewhere.
