I'm looking to to hop back into observing after a while off by attending my first ever star party. I live in Michigan and I'm trying to find a list somewhere that shows all the star parties that happen annually in my State. I know I can find some individual ones by searching but was hoping to find a defined list. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

If you have the time, look at astronomy club websites in your state. Looking for information on clubs in Indiana, Ohio, and Ontario might help too. Those places might have observing going on at a closer distance than the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Pick a city closet to you and check out their website.

I belong the the Ford Astronomy Club.  We do a lot of outreach events.

We meet monthly out at Island Lake near Brighton, and we have a monthly general meeting at Henry Ford CC.  We run the planetarium at HFCC, and the observatory, HJRO, at Lincoln Park HS.

In this last month I have been out to Selfridge where we were part of the STEAM demonstration, out at Island Lake, Thursday at Mayberry for a girl scouts event.

This week I will be a guest speaker at our monthly "Astronomy for Everyone" that is recorded and put on youtube.  Coming up we will have our Annual Picnic on Aug 10,  This year it will be at Mayberry.  Then a event at HJRO.  In September we attend Astronomy at the Beach, normally held at Kent Lake but this year because of park construction it will also be at Mayberry.  We also have some members helping at the U of M Dearborn observatory on many Fridays.

We try to do a lot of stuff.  Google us at Ford Astronomy Club.

I live in Southgate.

The Michiana Star Party takes place in Vandalia every spring.
