Here's another almost freebie, if it's real:
Meade 8" LDX75 - $200:

Did anyone here pick up that $60 Celestron C5 from awhile back?

C8 on Polaris Mount, $475.
https://www.facebook...mibextid=kL3p88
Colorado Springs, CO.
Mount is a Super Polaris with motors on both axes .... I can't be 100% sure from the photos, but enlarging the FB photos it looks to me like the stepper motors have 5-pin DIN sockets ... which if true means the matching motor controller is either the early DMD-1 (if both motors' internal gear ratios are 1/300) or possibly(?) a SkySensor if the Declination motor's internal gear ratio is 1/30 (in which case -- with no more than gentle but sustained finger pressure -- one would be able to back-drive the Decl. motor with the power off) ... and then the drives would need an "original SkySensor" if(?) the R.A. motor's gear ratio is also 1/30 (same finger test being successful), or [better] a SkySensor-2 if the R.A. motor's gear ratio is 1/120 (same gentle finger pressure would NOT be enough to back-drive the motor).
If anyone goes after this one, be sure to inquire with the seller if they have the matching motor controller, and if so make sure that it is included in the price regardless of what model controller it is.
Also, both axes appear to have been equipped with the early "knurled" [twist to tighten] clutch collars to disengage the motors for manual slow-motion adjustment, but the knurled collar appears to be missing from the R.A. axis in the photos ... another item to ask the seller if they still have (or can find) !

P.S. I'm also aware that one of our Classics forum members is seeking a black SP mount, so if anyone is local and(?) only wants the OTA and the SCT-to-Vixen-dovetail bar pieces (but not the SP mount), reach out and I can put you in touch with that individual. Regardless, I'd be interested to hear how it goes with the seller on the missing pieces of this C8 + SP mount kit ... fingers crossed for you ... good luck !!

Shrine Manon 60/700. Comes in an original box but looks like most accessories are missing, including the mount and tripod. Still, $60 seems like a steal.

The mount is connected to the OTA. As for the other stuff, the porro, diagonal, and VB are under the finder. The eyepieces and the barlow might be in the accessory box where they belong.

What makes it a Time Capsule? Shouldn't that mean it's like new?
An old thing can be put into a Time Capsule, but a Time Machine more implies something that has defied aging.
Oh, and a link to a 16” Meade SCT:

I know nothing about it or the person selling it.
But you don't see a CAVE for sale every day.

Due east of me 100 miles. I sold a Cave just like it i never used. If if had a mount that could really hold it right i may jump but my jumping days are over. Lot of work humping a heavy OTA like that into them tiny saddle holes. Price looks ok since it looks clean and lean. If you had a AP1200 laying around i would get it.

Yeah! And the telescope on the left is a big boy too.

At least with the wheel chair you got it rigged up right.

There were 2 unusual Questar models on ebay recently. One appeared to be a dual range scope and the second was a first generation Field. Quite a coincidence, I'd say.

The Daystar filter still has value - and it is a two piece item - there is a secondary filter that goes over the front of the scope - and they have two of those to go with the scope -
That set is worth right at $700 or more alone
and - they have some nice eyepieces -

Not sure you can even use one in a SCT.

Some high end stuff. There are at least two eyepieces in with camera equipment a Televue I believe. What refractor is that?

First time I ever saw one in person was at TSP in the early 2000's. Always an impressive sight. Of course I had a slightly bigger beast at one time: 17" AGO IDK. It was very large. . . .

Does the mirror i.d. code or mirror cell look familiar to anyone?
