August 10, 2024.  Theophilus Crater using Questar 3.5 Duplex with ZWO ASI224MC.  Image capture with SharpCap and processing in AutoStakkert. It is a very small scope, but quite portable and very easy to use both for visual and for lunar/planetary imaging.

Here is a larger context image.... taken about the same time with the same scope.  Image is a link to my Astrobin page.

I'd taken my first moon images with the Q3.5 in color but processed them initially in black and white.  I went back to a new clip of the Theophilus, Cyrillus, Catherine area and processed in color.  I'm surprised by the amount of detail this little scope can deliver.  My seeing conditions were nothing really special and were probably about 1.8 - 2.0 arc seconds at best.  The image did boil gently in the eyepiece... not the slow rolling gentle boil you get on a better night but more of a medium speed fine boil that makes it hard to see fine detail with the eye alone. The image is a link to my Astrobin page.

This will be much improved if you dial back the degree of sharpening.  You're losing details.

This is without the Lucy Richardson deconvolution:

It's much better like this but it's not always an all or nothing situation.  Sometimes just dialing back the strength and size parameters will work well.

Yes, something in the middle may be better.  Here is a version with some lite Lucy Richardson deconvolution done in ImagesPlus.  The difference is subtle but it is maybe a little sharper without over-doing it.

Now work on your color balance.  It's a little bit yellow green.  You can get a lot of information from the FAQ that is pinned to the top of the planetary imaging forum.  Most of the tools for planetary apply to lunar just as well.
