General question here since I'm not at all happy with the manual that came with the scope.

I want to tackle a bunch of double stars but the way I want to do it is manually dial in the coordinates as I go, rather thant have to create an observing list.

Is it possible to do it with that hand contoller.

As I search the manual I may have missed somehting or just read it wrong.

Thanks for the help. This scope has quite a steep learning curve compared to my Dob!

I do not have a CPC, but I'm familiar with the Nexstar system. I reviewed the online manual for your CPC. Page 21 has the information you need. "Goto R.A/ Dec - Allows you to input a specific R.A. and declination and slew to it."

Paul got it.   Push Menu button.  Scroll to GoTo RA/DEC.  Not to be confused with Get RA/Dec, where you can check for that.

I do the same thing with doubles that arent in the catalogue or other transient objects where I download the ephemeris from JPL or some other source.
