Greetings!  I'm looking for product recommendations to insert a 2" filter tray in my rigs that will get as much light throughput as possible.

1st Rig - WO Redcat 71 w/ Canon 5DSR.  I bought the ZWO Filter Drawer for Canon EOS Lens # FD-EOS but it stepped down to 1.25" eyepiece and uses an adapter to attach to a 2" eyepiece (same size as the rear of the Redcat 71).  I'm looking for a filter tray (that accepts 2" filters) that is 2" all the way through that I can attach a T-Ring to it for my Canon.

2nd Rig - Canon EF lenses attached to a Canon 5DSR.  I'm wanting to use 2" filters with my Canon lenses and camera.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

The Askar 5 in 1 filter drawer allows you three openings on both sides of the drawer (M42, M48, M54). You can connect the drawer to the scope using the M48 adapter and use a M48 T-ring on the camera side. I have one of these drawers coming tomorrow. I have never seen a redcat, but I can see a couple of possible issues.

1. If the M48 threads on the redcat are female you may need a M48 gender bender adapter.

2. More concerning. The drawer is 18mm, the T-ring is 11mm, and I believe the canon sensor is 44mm, for a total of 73mm back focus. Will you be able to bring the redcat to focus?

dac4215 - Thanks.  I ordered an Askar 5 in 1 that should be here this weekend.  No issues for back focus on the Redcat since the whole lens assembly moves for focusing.  However, the Canon specific ZWO filter drawer (FD-EOS) does not work with Canon EF lenses due to back focus issues with the Canon camera.  I need to research it more understand its application (camera / lens combination) to see what I'm missing.  Cheers!
