Caught 2 hours of activity on the western limb this morning in decent seeing.  A lot going on in the animation in both AR3777 on the limb and AR3780.  The biggest surprise is the development of a floating prom above the activity down on the limb that then started raining down to the surface as well a brief glimpse of material shooting upwards too.  I only wish the clouds had stayed away just a bit longer to see what happened to that bit of plasma.
Lunt LS60T DS/Saturn-M SQR  Firecapture, Autostakkert, ImPPG and Photoshop.  Also presenting it in an inverted version which highlights some additional activity on the disk.  Image has been rotated for viewing

It was quite a spectacle today, I spent almost 4 hours watching from time to time.
but it wasn't as clear as your animation.

Thanks Gary and Johann!  It looked like a cap on the side of the sun when I first looked at it.

Great vids Warren!  You really get the sense of swirling vortices on that one.  That detached raining prom is cool too!
