It was very clear and very stable this morning. Seeing started at 8/10 and improved to 10/10 at times. Encke was easily visible in all stacks. Derotated 36 mins of data.

Magnificent. I hope you share one of the 10/10 SER files, so people can see what it looks like. It's quite profound to see.

Wonderful, its great to see someone with top seeing and able to fully utilise it.

Your image seems a touch a dim but that may be my fault for using my mobile phone to view.

Brightened the original with some HDR and blended some Encke from a single stack. and added a CH4.

I'll see if I can share it. Honestly it does not look as good as you would think as there were about 50% 10/10 seeing while the other half is complete mush because of the buildings and air conditioners destabilizing the local seeing.

Ill definitely share the stacks tho...

That is also interesting to see in my opinion.

I've only had what I call "frozen" seeing 3 times; the first when I was imaging the Moon with a mirrorless and my 10" Dob, so very under-sampled, but still profound. With the focus magnifier at maximum the Moon looked like a still photograph on the LCD preview screen; no movement at all. Almost eerie. The second was when I captured this image. The third was a wasted opportunity, an image of Saturn spoiled by a slight mis-collimation that I did not notice until post-processing.

Excellent, Ken, especially the brighter version which makes all those beautifully processed cloud bands easier to admire.

That second image is gorgeous! Yeah I've learnt from experience when that frozen seeing occurs to "freeze" and check my collimation, focus, adc, etc because you think its already sharp enough. Also when you get your first recording, stack it and check for any issues, lifesaver

Here is the folder of my stacks and a zipped SER file of the best recording. Ill also put this into the data share topic.

I liked the image already (and it's outstanding) but can't resist a comment regarding "perfect".  There's no such thing as perfect otherwise there would be no reason to continue imaging once you experienced it.  The next night can always be better than the last.
