I found this while digging in my backyard today. Can someone identify this ?

I'm no geologist, but I think the technical term is BFR. :smile:

The pinkish minerals look like Feldspar, and the shiny flecks look like Mica, the white areas look like Quartz, and the remaining rock looks like Granite.  I doubt it's a "space rock."

My guess is that it's gabbro or porphyritic gabbro.  Did you happen to find it near Sudbury?
