I have been around quite a bit of this planet over the years. I think VT to Den. CO is a short hop. I should inquire. Beer and brats on arrival.

You silly, it's a wall-mount telescope.

I have a 277. Essentially $200 shipped. That's way over priced!

There is a Co-62 at $103 with 15 minutes left. https://shopgoodwill.../item/208370338
And it went for $103.

And it went for $103.
+ shipping (~$20)
+ handling ($3.99)
+ sales tax ($7.62)
Total: $134.61
That's for an untested unit with limited photos too.

I was probably being a bit harsh, but there's just so many good deals out there plus I really wasn't too impressed by mine so far.
I will say that in this day and age, $200 doesn't buy you much and if you're a serious Meade collector then I could understand.

I don't think you are being too harsh.
Let's face it, a short fast achromat just will not handle high power well and has other limitations.
If a person understands that, it can be a useful tool.
My two cents.

I think they only charged me sales tax one time out of 6 or so purchases. Being a charity I'm not sure they are suppose to and they didn't when I've bought stuff in their stores. Maybe it's a state by state law?

I pay sales tax here in Texas at Goodwill. I get lots of cool stuff and say yes to round up the sale.

My first impression was the images didn't seem that usefull any higher than about 30x and I don't have a good outside surface to use it's mount on. One of the times on the lid of a trash bin and then on a 114 mount instead. That said, my wife thought it was cute and wants to use it mostly as a spotter thru the window at our vacation home.
I always thought my Mayflower 60/400mm (ex-vari-power) cut-down scope was a under achiever (same power limit) and I've tuned it some, so they will go head to head when I get the time.

Given what I paid and understanding shipping could vary, $125 plus shipping feels apropos.

Messaged. In southern NH so not far. Would be a cool project.
So my next Astro project was going to involve a LX6 SCT.
that may have been bumped down the project list…….

If anyone gets a chance, compare an f15 refractor to an f5 or f6 (achromats) and you'll see what dramatic difference means.

I have a 6" f/15 and a 6" f/5 achromat. They're very fun to compare and contrast. But they also show how overstated CA is on most viewing. Planets? Sure, I'll take the f/15 every day. But widefield? The f/5 holds its own, even moderate power on an extended object; very nice. I can also use the 6" f/5 for H-alpha NV viewing of nebula, H-alpha viewing of the sun with a Quark, etc. Both things the f/15 would be inferior without modification.
