I have an 18" Obsession Classic F/4.5 made in 1996, the new Obsessions are F/4, so the older F/4.5's are a Classic because they are not being made anymore.

None of the Obsession Classics are still made, either…. Only the lightweights these days.

Technically yes, asthetically probably no.

 

I feel the same about late 90s Synta or other Chinese refractors. They'll probably never seem like classics to me.
