Like the title says...

So I bought a ZWO EAF and I need to get the course knob off of this scope. There are no set screws on the knob itself. On the other side though, the fine knob and the course knob both have set screws. Weird.

I managed to install the focuser on my Meade 70mm f/5 astrograpgh without issue. It's also a 6000 series but the focusers are completly different.

Anyone have some insight?

You need to place the Allen wrench thru the hole in the housing to access the set screw. It's the same size Allen wrench you use to get the other side off, I ran into this when I tried to attach an EAF to my Meade 80mm Series 6000.

Thank you! I never would have guessed that in a million years... The other trick was when I realized there are actually 2 set screws!

They just put a grub screw in the end hole near the coarse adjust knob. No purpose other than filling the hole. Weird! My 115 Meade is great and actually light compared to my Esprit 100. I run mine now at 805mm without a flattener with a tiny asi585mc pro for galaxies…. Round stars all over.
