Hello,
I have a binocular telescope from Oberwerk similar to the attached images below:

The issue that I am running into is that they use a handle with an integrated picatinny rail on top. This is a nice feature if you want to mount accessories that are commonly mounted onto firearms such as a reticle or laser. But I would like to mount accessories that are more common to telescopes and specifically accessories that use a Synta dovetail (like a PiFinder).

I was wondering if anyone has come across a Picatinny to Synta dovetail adapter or has an idea for another solution?

The closest I could find is something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BW6H2K5R

But that adapter results in a 11 mm dovetail and not the standard Synta dovetail which I believe is closer to 30 mm.

Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to be in the market for one of these soon also.

I have you tried contacting Oberwerk? Kevin may have an idea on where to get an adaptor.

Other option may be to 3D print one.

The one you linked looks like it's for mounting "22 rings"

Can't you just unscrew the picatinny and screw on a Vixen rail?

I haven't reached out yet. One other option I am considering would be to add a picatinny adapter that adds threaded holes like this:

and then screwing in something like this on top to add the Synta dovetail mount.

Thank you, I had not considered that option. I'll look into removing that handle.

Thank you, that's close but that adapter allows for an accessory that mounts to a picatinny rail to be mounted to a dovetail shoe.

I am looking for an adapter that allows a dovetail shoe to mount to a picatinny rail.

Like in the attached photo photo, but as you can see, the dovetail in that picture is not the right size. Synta dovetails are not 11 mm, they are closer to 32-34mm.

When I saw your initial post, this is the solution that immediately came to my mind. I did this in the reverse (added a picatinny rail on top of a Synta finderscope rail, so I could secure a picatinny-based laser to a Synta finderscope base). To account for hole spacing, I made sure one of them had slots instead of threaded holes, so I could be sure I could line things ups. For your case, something like this one from Astromania: https://www.amazon.c.../dp/B01EOET7DS/.
