Was looking around at upgrading my LRGB 36mm filter set, partly for curiosity and partly just wanting higher quality, as to not be a bottle-neck in my workflow. Kinda wanting to see if any of the minor QoL issues I am having, can be attributed to my basic ZWO filters(they're "fine" don't get me wrong).  Also, curious to see the difference in filters that are double the cost.

But, my reason for asking if I've made a mistake, is that these are full spectrum + NIR and some UV, and no yellow light gap.  Living in a Bortle 4 rural area with small light domes 5ish miles away, I'm thinking it'll be alright, and maybe even interesting to play with the R+ filter.

Supposing I'll need to remove the IR cut window/filter on the 2600mm, in order to get the max benefit of FS?

I have this set and love them, I especially enjoy the nice deep browns and yellows I am able to pull. Previously I had the Astronomik Deep Sky set and while they performed very well I did not care for the gap between red and green. A lot of the brown dusty molecular clouds had a tinge of red/magenta to them rather than the nice rich brown they should be.

Keep in mind that these are not forgiving filters for refractors as they extend into the blue more than most filters so any CA will rear it's ugly head. I image with reflectors so it is not an issue.

You may be able to use an IR/UV cut filter such as the Astronomik L2 or L3 mounted somewhere else in the chain to help tame these if need be.
