This appears to be the oem supplier to Celestron, at twice the price. Diffraction limited, sharp contrasty, even tho an achromat. Well packed, nice case, Lightening quick free shipping from China.

Does anyone know the thread for the eyepiece? Would like a 1.25” adapter for Naglers etc.

Great little thing, I doubt diffraction limited but for a 4" achro that short (f/4.5 to f/5 max) astonishing good. Not yet fading at 70x
(It does just 70x, not 90x)
I thought the ep is not removable. Lot of fc at low power (25x) and only 40° AFOV then, 60° at 70x. Smoothest focussing (2speed) ever and very smooth zoom action.
No other device provides that much of a scope for such a price.
Nasty plasticiser sweating out of the body coat after a while.
I wouldn't be surprised if ED glass was involved

Do you use your for astronomy or terrestrial? I’m thinking of picking one up. Is it really waterproof? I’m thinking of adding it to my Allsky setup with a little PTZ platform.

they claim argon (or azote? purged) and water proof which I wouldn't rely on.

Indeed, terrestric for those 40 to 60 degrees of FOV is not that much of a shortage as it is for the stars.
And I can't really do stars with a 45° diagonal.
Quite in fact I don't use it any more, it's completely replaced by the Bresser AR 102 xs (though the King is optically a bit better) and more than that because the Bresser with 90° prism does stars, too. and has 66° eyepieces for all powers of matter.
Where are you from? Maybe it's not too far off.

The Bresser is pretty horrific when it comes to colour error, if the VK is like that, no way it is ED.

The Bresser is great at powers up to 50x and they claim it's ED inside, too. Yet the VK is better at colours, still :-)
