I recently noticed this very interesting post

https://www.cloudyni...c/931371-rvm-c/

I made some enquiries and it turns out that these can be ordered for non USA people through this Canadian dealer, at around 500 euros (just the housing, no lenses, but no issue since I already have lenses that work)

https://nightsolutions.ca

It’s a special order so took a few weeks, but today I received 2 rvm c mount housings. It was straightforward to fit standard pvs 14 tubes (11769) as the pigtail just plugged in.

So absolutely no issues getting into focus with these in prime mode (I didn’t really have any issues with my pvs14 in prime mode, but definitely no problems now smile.gif ) These seem like the perfect housing for astro!

Luckily I have managed to source secondhand 2 envis lenses but I think these will be mostly used in prime mode.

Opfor will also supply these housings with a range of photonis tubes including the new high gain white phosphor ones (prices starting around 3k euros)

Here’s some pics of the new housings in various setups…

Very nice setup! How is the RVM Bridge mount? I hadn't seen any reviews online but I am very tempted to get one of those myself

I’ve only had a quick test, but so far so good. I am impressed by the build quality generally of these AB units and bridge

I agree, I really like the housing. It's also nice to not have to fiddle with a gain dial on the objective side of the device when used in afocal mode.

Does the bridge have any play in it?.... or does it seem to lock up really solidly? If you think you need more usage with it to truly determine then I get that. I ask because I've been itching to have a binocular setup that I can break down into two monoculars for when I view with friends/family
