Last Night's Moon   9-11-24

 

2 and 1/2 minute videos, with 8 EdgeHD, 2.5x Powermate, ASI533MC Pro, UV/IR filter, AutoStakkert, WaveSharp and Microsoft ICE.

 

 

Seeing was better so took 8 videos.The out of the camera color is featured.

Black and white stitched. Maybe a little better detail, but the color is cool. Which do you like?

The color shots are too yellow-orange for my tastes. I much prefer the B&W. It just looks, sharper, crisper, and is much more like the visual appearance. Nice work! ...and you even got a solid hint of the rille in the Alpine Valley.

Black and white it is.

 

Honestly so many posters have raised the bar over the past year or so, and brought us such great lunar images, that I wanted to improve my planetary rig. So I'm trying new things. Yesterday and the day before I tried a barlow (powermate) for the first time. Couldn't get one to work till now.

Rima Birt is clearly visible in the 3rd image. 

I greatly admire the black and white images too.
