Hello, I need some advice on how to properly set up my PHD2 software to work with my AM3 mount.  I am finding that initially everything looks good but as the night progresses things go wild.  I have a small 60mm f/5 refractor and using a ZWO mini guidescope with a Player One Ceres-M guide camera.  I will attach a log if it is helpful.

I have additional information, my wife has been letting out the dog and then turning on the backyard lights to get the dog back into the house.  Explains a few things... sorry.

You trouble started at about 03:09.

Camera output remained stable, but RA started to be pulled, possibly by a cable catching.

From about 04:15 on RA was drifting continuously.

At 05:56 you re-Calibrated and all was fine until 07:34, when RA kicked off again.

PHD2 was issuing commands but the mount didn't respond,.

Perhaps the catching cable is loosing contact with the mount ?

The default settings are usually good starting point.

Then, Guiding assistant and Calibration assistant.
And SWG mounts like your AM3 need short guide exposures, like 1s or even shorter.

I will check the cables. They seem to be well seated in the morning but it is possible it might be getting stressed.

Maybe buy the dog a headlamp?  (red, of course)
