For weight measuring, on both rubber eyeguards were removed.

...Ethoses...
You can use the Ethoses with the 2" barrel: - remove de BV ep holders and use 2" to T2 adapters on the Ethoses 2" barrels ...

Was thinking about it, do you have an link?

Looking forward to the optical test!
The lower weight, ease of using with 1.25” and the substantially lower cost of the XWAs means the Ethos will have to be substantially better optically than the XWAs to say the Ethos are the better BV choice.

There was a 2" Ultrashort Eyepiece Clamp to T2 that seems is no longer produced...

Tahnk you!
Thinking to use same with Ethos 17mm piar
Both Ethos 17mm and 13mm have same diameter!

So, lets back to Ethos vs XWA comparation:
DAYTIME:
weather here is cloudy, and rainy in part of the day, and next 10 days weather prognose seems will stay the same, so Im basing to test on what Im having.
I was using different anthennas, trees, cheminies vs grey sky, as most interesting targets.
Some fat anthennas with rus part, rusted, not rusted, and semi rusted screws on it, were most demandin gtargets, in part of the time after rain, with shiny drops of rain.
In short, XWA eyepieces in some 60% observing time seems to snap into focus slightly easier, and showing tiny bit more details, with tiny bit sharper image, but it was not all time, and it was hard to see any significant advantage.
NIGHT:
while I ad no stars, I was using distant LED lights on sea marina, distant LED and normal street lights, and some tiny sources of light on ships saying on marina calm.
Interesting is, on very first view and switch between epcs, I was imeadiately and very noticable able to see diff between two, where Ethos provide NOTICABLE LESS scattered light, with darker image background, and more easily visible tiny sources of distant small light.
Any object were cleaner and sharper in Ethos, no matter how dark, bright, etc it was.
When I move street lights out of FOV, or at extreme edge, Ethos have here also noticable advantages:
1. sharper edges
2. not nearly so many reflections/ghost images, with noticable less glare.
Kind regards,
Denis

I remember too now, the reflections/ghost images of the star near NGC404 in Andromeda.
The difference with the Ethos was amazing.
Yes.
I nostalgically remembring the day, and the time once first Ethos eyepiece was introduced, and it was 13mm.
I was staring into picture every day, for a long period of time.
Always had dreamed to have it, and now my dreams comes true x2
Thanxs to mr. Nagler from TeleVue company making these.

XWAs advantage is (except lighter weight and way cheaper price), they fit much more deeper and SAFER inside Baader eyepiece holders, while Ethoses doesnt so much.
