I haven't done planetary imaging as yet, but thought I would give it a go this season.

The faq on main page is really helpful but this is a different beast altogether from dso.

Seeing was pretty good this night 4/5 but couldn't seem to get focused.

Also its obvious I need to learn how to use the ADC lol.gif

Sharpcap, autostakkert, registax

10% of 3500 frames.

9.25edge, Apertura 2.5x, zwo adc, zwo 224mc, uv/ir

Trying again tonight maybe even stay up for Jupiter / Mars

Subtract green and it will look a bit better. Perhaps your red and blue were not balanced well in capture?  Still this will be an eye-catching souvenir of your planetary imaging, a view of Saturn that few have seen.

(I did wonder for a moment, if you are just trying to pull our legs in this thread by posing that you were a 'greenhorn' on Saturn lol.gif )

Yes, as terrible as it is I was super excited just to see it on screen.

I would say your current image has strong hints of the very good capture you will obtain soon.  I have guessed the color balance settings in capture or possibly wrong Bayer settings for that camera are wrong, but I am not at all sure why your Saturn is that color. Perhaps someone else will venture a better guess.

Thanks Foc!

I just rechecked collimation on my 9.25 and it was pretty off.  I think that will improve things quite a bit.
