My wife and I attended the Delaware Vally Amateur Astronomers Outdoor Astronomy Fair & Picnic yesterday. The event was held at Fort Washington State Park, the location where George Washington's 11,000 troops were encamped from November 11, 1777, to December 11, 1777.

This wasn't an observing event as such but rather a workshop where different topics such as eyepieces and filters and getting started in astrophotography were discussed. However, a couple of telescopes were set up and a bit of observing was conducted, although strong moonlight, wildfire smoke, and big city light pollution made it rather difficult.
I tracked a bright ISS pass with my Canon 15x50 IS and was also able to log Collinder 399, Epsilon Lyrae, Omicron Cygni, M13 (very faint), M31, and M39 (faint). I observed the waxing gibbous Moon through an 8" f/4.5 Orion Newtonian on an equatorial mount and Epsilon Lyrae, M13, and M57 through an 8" Celestron NexStar Evolution SCT.
