Hi,
NGC 7217 is face-on spiral galaxy with a ring, about 50 millions l.y. away from us.
I imaged over two nights last week, using my 8" Newtonian with Romano Zen optics on an AP900 mount with an 183mm camera, from my Bortle 7 backyard 20km from downtown Paris. I recycled some old luminance frames from 2022 to have more data. Overall there's 320*60 sec of luminance and 40*60sec for each color channel, in rather mediocre conditions (moon, haze, average seeing).
Here's a crop on the galaxy, which is not that big (click for the full-resolution, uncropped version)
Curiously this part of the sky is relatively poor in distant background galaxies, especially compared to other parts of Pegasus.
Clear skies,
Dan
