That's my old man's stuff. I am mostly the labor and driver. LOL I keep telling him to make a list for insurance purposes. He's too busy working on the cars and house to do so. All I do is go to work for ten hours per day six and one half days per week. LOL
I think I posted a partial list along the way but, I will go take some notes when possible.

Me thinks the gentleman has these confused with the ZAO I/IIs:
https://astromart.co...be-eyepiece-set
They were originally posted at $4000, but now at $3600. The 12.5mm is not "rare", I bought mine from APM (Markus) for $250, the 8mm is rare, so maybe $500. Heck you can get a Zeiss monocentric forr $1000. The 10mm and 16mm are very commen so $150 for those.
I would say $2000 for the whole shebang, including the walnut box, would be fair.

They are nice for collectors and I'm sure great performers, but honestly, in the long scopes they get used in, my Kellners and Orthos from Japan are fine. I still have yet to see a better eyepiece than the Meade MA25mm in Japan 0.965" format.

Can you spot a single part which was not installed upside down?

Bear in mind this is a regular RV-6 and not the full blown Dynascope version. Criterion used the word "Dynascope" on the RV6 label which muddles things for those not in the know. It does look pretty sad but nice for the price.

They are trip legs on the mount. Saw three peeps in one nite trip on them legs in the dark.
Don't know why. They are more visible (except in pitch-black conditions) than a black tripod at night and the splay isn't that much more than a normal, properly set-up tripod.

Didn't know they came in that wooden box. I sure hope someone with the West German Zeiss isn't missing a walnut case!!

Very dark in FL in 1979. Now no place is dark . Not even 80 miles offshore as the whole east sky is lit up.

I would think $900 was a good price.

And now, for those of you with really DEEP POCKETS. Roland Christen's personal 12 inch Mak-Cass in the A-mart auctions:
https://astromart.co...rbon-fiber-tube
Starting bid is $8100.
The optics were made by Intes-micro, but designed by Roland.
It'll be fun to see how high this goes. I wonder if Roland is preparing to retire.

A 12-inch with roughly the focal length of a C14, but less obstruction, better figure and mechanics. Great for planetary and smaller DSOs.
Roland has been testing another large aperture design lately, with a wider field. I take this to mean he's happy enough with it that he can let this one go.
It has been said that the only way he's allowed to get a new AP scope, without putting his name in the lottery with everyone else, is to build a prototype.
