Gotta love livin' in the desert!
Woke up too late to try spotting Comet C/2023 A3 this morning... but the sky was so beautifully clear, that while still rubbing the sleep from my half-open eyes, I did manage to find my GPO 8x56s and catch the waning old Moon, just as it cleared the mountains' ridgeline directly to my east. Of course I wasn't properly "prepped" for photographing it... but I quickly grabbed my Oly E-M1 and fired off a few hand-held shots with its 40-150 Pro lens set at 150mm and f/2.8. The in-body 5-axis image-stabilization system of these Olympus cameras is incredible... and this is what I got, 29hrs-28min before New Moon:
