Hello sketchers

Here is a compilation of our observation of this discreet comet.

Our position was 43°N in Provence (France).  The watercolor is a souvenir of the observation made by six of us in the morning from a vista up the Ste Croix lake, looking for the apparition.  We had only 15 minutes of observation before being masked by sunlight.

Here are the ICQ' with all details for the comet hunters, skteches from left to right

I hope that you will be able to observe this comet, mainly mid october, just after the solar's passage.

Clear skies to you all !

The watercolor of your group observing the comet, while overlooking the lake and village, prior to sunrise is a marvel, superbe!

These are lovely! I can't wait until the comet is visible in the evening and I have a chance to see it (my eastern view is very blocked haha)

This new watercolor was done Oct 13th, naked eye.

The anti-tail was easily visible, what a nice comet.

This watercolor was made Oct 20, still from my terrasse.  The binocular was used mainly to add estimations to the COBS data base.

Imagine the conflict I have from home with light pollution.

A micro village with only 150 inhabitants and 120 street lamps !!!

Hello Michel,

These are wonderful additional sketches to those you posted in early October.

It has been a great comet to observe and sketch.

Michel, very lovely scenes from your terrace.  I like your seven day composite--and I see the Summer Beehive in the lower right corner.  waytogo.gif
